DOH: New recoveries 40,397 and the new rule COVID-19 positive does not need to take another swab test after quarantine and no symptoms

COVID-19 cases have reached 161,253 in the Philippines after an increase of 3,420 today. The number of active cases in the country has dropped to 46,002 because the Department of Health has recorded 40,397 recoveries since that lock down in March with a total of 112,586 recovered.

Every Sunday the Department of Health will announce mass recoveries based on the rule that there is no need for a swab test again the Covid-19 positive who has completed quarantine and has no symptoms. The death toll rose to 2,665 after an increase of 65. 

In the new cases the majority are still in NCR with more than two thousand, followed by the Province of Laguna, Province of Cavite, Province of Batangas, Province of Rizal.

in active cases, 90.7% is mild, 6.7% asymptomatic, 1.1% severe, 1.5% critical.
